Kidnapper Arrested in South Africa-bound Flight

The war on kidnappers in Anambra State continues to yield great results with the recent arrest of a notorious kingpin who specializes in taking a leave outside the country after his operations.



Okwuchukwu Nnaegbo, a native of Nri in Anaocha Local Government was arrested while on a flight to South Africa. He has since confessed to have carried several kidnapping operations with his gang including the kidnap of Chief Amaobi from Utu and another woman from Agulu.

Announcing his capture, the State Commissioner of Police, A. U. Gwary said Mr Nnaegbo was already on board South African Airways flight when arrested with the help of the security operatives at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos. He added that Okwuchukwu has been aiding the search for other gang members.

Addressing the press today, Governor Obiano reiterated that no place nor person will stop his determination to cleanse Anambra State. " We have warned them to desist, we will provide job for anybody willing to work" he said

"I want to recreate night life, I am going after their commanders, I am going after their source of weapons, I am going after their houses and I am going after their dens" Gov Obiano emphasized.
