Anambra Commissioner of Police personally leads Obiano's Operation Kpochapu in a special raid to cleanse Onitsha

The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, H. Hassan Karma this morning, personally led the newly energized Operation Kpochapu to cleanse Onitsha of pick-pockets, touts and perpetual traffic offenders.

Since the inauguration of the special Joint Security Operations outfit code named "Operation Kpochapu" by the State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, Ndi Anambra sleep with their two eyes closed.

CP Hassan said the new drive which is happening simultaneously in Nnewi, Ekwulobia and other towns in the State is aimed at ensuring zero tolerance for all forms of crime and strict adherence to traffic rules.

The Commissioner of Police disclosed that Governor Obiano's unequaled commitment to crime fighting necessitated his decision to lead the team and the Command's resolve to keep criminals and criminality out of Anambra State.

He further warned all jobless miscreants and touts to search for alternative abode as Anambra State has become a new haven of peace and security.

About 28 touts and traffic offenders were arrested this morning.
