 Ever since the attentive world rose to its feet to applaud Governor Willie Obiano’s virtuoso performance in 100 days in office, the dogs of war seem to have been let loose and they are baying for his innocent blood. Obiano and his beautiful wife have become the punching bag of miscreants on social media whose mercantile instincts mark out as cannon fodder in the hands of aggrieved and out-of-favour politicians. Every day, they concoct lies and tasteless falsehoods to nibble away at his soaring popularity among the long suffering people of Anambra State who are beginning to finally see that indeed, Anambra can be better.

Three More Kidnap Buildings demolished as Anambra step-up Crime Fighting

 

In a bid to ensure crime free yuletide season the Anambra State Government has stepped-up its pursuit of criminals and kidnappers in their den with the demolition of three buildings used to incarcerate kidnap victims at Aguleri and Umuleri, Anambra East Local Government Area.

 

IPMAN to call off strike as Government Warns Marketers to stop Exploiting Consumers

 

The warning strike embarked upon by the Independent Petroleum Marketers (IPMAN) in Anambra State on Thursday October 23, 2014 is expected to be called off today, Friday October 24, 2014 following the resolution of the immediate concerns raised by the marketers at a meeting held earlier today at the Government House, Awka.

However, Anambra State Government has warned the Independent Petroleum Marketers (IPMAN) in the state to ensure that their members desist from exploiting unsuspecting customers with high pump prices and dispensing of products with maladjusted meters at Filling stations. The warning came in the wake of the “Weigh-and-Measure” spot-checks carried out on October 20 and 21, 2014 by members of the Committee on Petroleum at some Filling stations in Awka and environ.
